First Presbyterian Church of Tecumseh has ample space available to rent for public meetings, seminars, events, recitals, concerts, family gatherings, community arts, funeral dinners, and weddings.

Below is a summary of the rooms that are available for your event, intermittent or long-term occupancy.
Sanctuary
The church’s historic Sanctuary provides a wonderful backdrop for weddings, funerals, recitals, or concerts. Dedicated in 1869, the Sanctuary features numerous stained glass windows and an old world charm not found in modern buildings. The Sanctuary can seat? people with an additional ? in the choir loft.
Classrooms at Main Entrance
We have several classrooms that can be configured in a variety of table and seating arrangements. Several child-friendly classrooms are also available for rent.
Knox Hall Main Level
Knox Hall is a multipurpose room that seats 200 people. It can be divided into two or three rooms, depending on your group’s needs, using heavy curtain walls. The room has a sound system that can be used with a wireless microphone. It also has a digital projector and projection screen.
- Knox A – 20′ x 21′
Equipped with a projector and screen. Can accommodate up to eight six-foot round tables or three oblong tables. Seats up to 64 people. - Knox B – 21′ x 21′
Has a dry-erase board for presentations or lessons. Can accommodate up to eight six-foot round tables or three oblong tables. Seats up to 64 people. - Knox C – 23′ x 21′
Includes a countertop for serving food and a dry-erase board for presentations.
The Kitchenette
The Kitchenette is across the hallway from Knox Hall. Ideally placed for convenient serving, catering, limited food preparation, and clean-up.
The Nursery
The church’s nursery is located down the hall from the Sanctuary. It contains a variety of toys for children of all ages. It also has books, rocking chairs, and a crib. A paging system is also available.
Knox Hall Upper Level
In the upper level of Knox Hall are 5 rooms of approximately 400 sq. ft. each. These “offices” are available for rent to non-profits and to others that align with our church’s mission. This level of Knox Hall has a stairwell entrance that leads directly to a waiting room/kitchenette that is shared with other tenants of that level. Each room offers exclusive use but could be divided with tenants that agree to share, fees will be negotiated taking into consideration their community service and linkage to First Presbyterian Church’s missions goal.
There is also an elevator that can be accessed from the main level.
Knox Hall Lower Level
In the lower level of Knox Hall are also 5 rooms of approximately 400 sq. ft. These are also available to local groups and activities that are aligned with the purposes of the First Presbyterian Church. Fees for this type of use are negotiated with each group. Stairway access is available and there are plans to provide video surveillance of the entrance stairways.
